Tinkering and Hands-on Space

Tinkering & Hands-on Space
Hands-on physics and technology
Every Thursday and Saturday, 1:00 until 4:00 pm

Deutsches Museum

The optical workshops let visitors find out for themselves how optical cables and endoscopes work, learn about the differences between light bulbs and LEDs, and test how light signals are used to transmit music to loudspeakers. In the black box they can experience the fascination of lasers. And the chance to watch a 3D printer laying down layers of material to create complex objects offers a fascinating insight into the technologies of the future.

In some workshops visitors build things, use their creativity for their own designs or take apart devices to find out how different components work. For visitors from 7 to 99 years of age! In the Open Workshop, visitors can watch or take part at any time. No background knowledge is needed.
